And the medieval Remparts
The medieval ramparts bear witness to the importance of the former fortified citadel; it could accommodate over 5,000 soldiers. To the other side of the dry moat, on the Northern and Eastern flanks, Château des Condés is hemmed in by a dense curtain of trees that flourish on 60 hectares of land. To the south, the belvedere and the medieval postern overlook the small village of Vallery and the Château's former gardens.
